Chernigov: Participants of the "Active citizens" presented their projects to city Council
Chernihiv city Council held the final presentation of the projects active citizens of the city of Chernihiv. Welcoming participants, Deputy mayor Oleksandr Lomako said that "it is very important to attract the initiative of the community, so together we can promote our hometown". Presentation of the projects took place in the framework of the contest of the development of local communities and the tourist attraction of the city of Chernigov. This competition introduced and implemented by the Chernihiv city Council in conjunction with the British Council in Ukraine. In General, the pitching was submitted 36 projects. The competition Commission first selected 21, and to the final performances were allowed 12 projects. According to the representative of the British Council in Ukraine Chernigov involved in this project one of the first among the cities of Ukraine, before the project was implemented only in Kherson, now 5 more cities are preparing to take part in this project. He also noted that projects should be focused on the development of the tourist attractiveness of Chernihiv and contain a social component, i.e. aimed at improving the life of society. All the projects involve further development of tourist infrastructure in Chernihiv and attract as many tourists. Among them: creation of QR maps of the city "SMART city begins with you", installation in the Alley of Heroes sculptures, the development of an information site "Ecocert Chernigov", the creation of travel portal of Chernihiv. Some contestants were offered to diversify tourist routes, interesting ideas, in particular: "ART project "Frog back", which involves placing 30 colored frogs in the Alley of Heroes from red square to hotel "Ukraine"; "Ice legends Chernigov" - the creation 16 of ice sculptures illuminated; festival "the Goat" during festive events in the city etc. A number of projects are aimed at dissemination of Chernigov interesting information about the city history and its outstanding personalities, among which: "the different Ways of streets and names: the intellectual elite of Chernihiv region", offers the installation of bus shelters banners with images of prominent personalities of Chernigov; "Street art project "It's my city says". General Fund budget of the competition is UAH 150 thousand. Of them 75 thousand UAH provides the British Council in Ukraine and 75 thousand UAH is funded by the city Council from the local budget. In the near future will be declared the winners. The implementation of the projects of the winners will begin later this year.
