Yesterday, December 14, in the framework of the project "Together take care of seriously ill children – development of fundraising campaigns for the needs of palliative patients in Vinnytsia region", held a "round table" "Development of palliative and hospice care in Vinnytsia oblast" for the purpose of consolidation of possibilities of state power, civil society, businesses, utility companies and concerned citizens for comprehensive support and assistance to critically ill children. Recall that the project is in direct support of the regional state administration and partially funded by the regional budget. "Vinnytsia medical Association" became one of 12 winners of the contest from the definition of the program developed by the institutions of civil society, which provides financial support in 2016 at the expense of means of the regional budget, which is traditionally held every year by the Department of information activities and communications with the public RSA. "We want to see what we have today in the field of hospice and palliative care in the diocese of Vinnytsia, and what we need to do next with a view to its development", – said the Chairman of the public organization "Vinnitsa Association of doctors" Ruslan Harkavenko. "Of course the ultimate long – term goal of the project is the creation of a separate specialized professional institutions providing palliative care to seriously ill children," she added. According to statistics, every year about 35-50 children in the region are in need of palliative care. Note that the approach to the creation and functioning of the institutions of this type in the world is different. So, this can be a separate specialized health institution for palliative care, including sick children, or determined in accordance equipped unit on the basis of health institutions. "We made a significant step in the development of hospice and palliative care in the diocese of Vinnytsia. So, the regional Program "the Future of Vinnytsia region in the preservation of citizens 'health" includes a separate section on development and specialized palliative care, including sick children", – said the head of the Department of preventive and curative care for children's population health Department of the regional state administration Tatyana Bondarenko. One aspect of the project involves the creation of a stewardship Council in Vinnytsia region" with the purpose of uniting organizations, who together will care for critically ill patients. Also, Ruslan Harkavenko announced that it plans to appeal to the deputies of the regional Council 7 convocation at the next meeting on 20 December of the current year with the aim of attracting local authorities to the complex support and assistance to critically ill children in Vinnytsia region.
