Chernigov is estimated by experts
Chernihiv city Council signed a Memorandum of cooperation on the measurement of the dynamics of city development in the framework of the project "CityProgressIndex" between Chernihiv and the Agency, “together”. The Memorandum confirms, socenv will be one of 20 pilot cities will be evaluated by independent experts according to a specially developed methodology. The "City Progress Index" is a complex rating monitoring changes in the level of quality of life in cities, their attractiveness and institutional capacity of municipalities. For the first time the concept of "City Progress Index" was presented on 5 December at the International Congress of mayors, organized by the Agency “Sprintusers” in partnership with the Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF). The rating of cities within the City Progress Index will be launched in 2017 in the framework of the pilot project external evaluation of the dynamics of urban development. The initiative of the public organization Agency of strategic communications and development "Sprintusers" to start this project already supported by PwC, GfK, Deloitte and Baker Tilly, Kyiv school of Economics, VoxUkraine and the Center for economic strategy. Actually, as conceived by the initiators, the results of monitoring the "Progress Index City" will be presented annually at the International Congress of mayors. And “winners” are cities that will occupy the first position in the ranking, that is, to demonstrate the highest dynamics of development, – will receive grants from a specially created Fund to support local development.
