In this great festive time, we are in a special sense the unity of the Ukrainian people and Ukrainian land. The Jordan and the Epiphany of the Lord connects us with thousands of our countrymen, the defenders of States in the Armed Forces of Ukraine defending the territorial integrity of the state in the East. About this said the Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Stepan Barna during an interfaith blessing of the water on the occasion of the feast of the Baptism of the Lord, took place near the cross established in honor of the 1020th anniversary of the Baptism of Ukraine on the embankment of the Ternopil pond. The blessing of the water was made by the clergy of different denominations. Stepan Barna thanked the bishops and all the priests that have joined in common prayer and asked for their blessing for the whole of the region. "The feast of the Epiphany for the Ukrainian people is a source of radiant joy, purification of the soul, strengthening faith in goodness. This day the water in the rivers becomes a healing and a year giving people health and enthusiasm, protects from harm, it fills the life-giving energy", — said the head region. A sprinkling of Holy water, Christmas carols and a theatrical performance "Malanka" was performed interfaith blessing of the waters. Residents and guests of the region who took part in the Liturgy, had the opportunity to collect consecrated water.
