Thanks to initiated in 2015 to close cooperation between the Saee and local authorities, bilateral cooperation, permanent dialogue and consultation, 2016 was a breakthrough in the introduction of more than 200 local programs for additional financial assistance to the population to implement energy efficiency measures. "In 2016, was developed and adopted 216 local programs for the reimbursement of part of the population of interest or soft loans. This is 2.7 times more than in 2015. There were 81 programs. The sum of money envisaged in the local budgets has also increased: in 2015, the implementation of the programs has been allocated 34 million UAH, in 2016 – already 71 million hryvnia," - commented the Chairman of the Saee monitoring data on implementation of local programs for energy efficiency in Ukraine. "One of the main indicators of success of the initiatives of the Saee to attract local budgets to additional compensation for "warm" loans is that in 2016, the local government has given the population and condominiums 45 mln payment of interest or soft loans. This is 3.2 times more than in 2015", - said Sergiy Savchuk, and added that thus about 50 thousand families-participants of the Government program, taking advantage of local programs that are significantly cheaper to insulate their homes. As you can see, the activity and responsibility of local authorities in energy saving is growing for the benefit of the citizens. Thanks to the increase in the number of the implemented programmes and more families were able to use double (and sometimes triple) financial assistance for insulation: Governmental and local (regional, city, district). What awaits Ukrainians in 2017? Thanks to close cooperation with the Saee, the local authorities have begun work on a sequel to local programs in advance. And by the beginning of 2017 in 12 districts and 15 cities, local government has allocated funds for their implementation. In General operates 189 programs, and about 100 – in the development process. "We expect that in 2017 will run roughly 300 local programs, which the Ukrainians will be able to obtain reimbursement of interest or for the "warm" loans," - has given the forecast Sec. Savchuk.
