The submission of the project application: Fund for Local Cooperation of the Embassy in 2017 is ˆ 100,000, the funds will be divided among the selected applicants (typically 3-5). Proposal budgets should not exceed 50 000 euros, but should not be less than EUR 10 000. If the project budget exceeds EUR 20,000, the organization must conduct an independent audit. We recommend that You make the appropriate funds in the project budget. The Embassy supports projects with funding solely from the Fund. The proposed projects are generally for one year but must be completed no later than November 2018. Types of projects: This year's priority themes for the LCF-funded projects in Ukraine are the following: - Human rights and gender equality, particularly in relation to vulnerable groups, women, youth and children. - Democracy and good governance, especially with regard to the support of the reform process in Ukraine, the rule of law and fight against corruption. - Environmental protection, especially with regard to biological diversity. The recipient of a grant from the Fund shall be responsible for carrying out the activities for which the grant was provided and at the proper financial activities. At the end of the project, the organization must provide the Embassy the full narrative and financial reports on project implementation according to the action plan and the Agreement. For projects that last only one year interim report is not expected. Project budget and grant amount in the Agreement are in euros. The recipient organization decides to obtain financing in Euro (as specified in the Agreement) or in the equivalent amount in local currency at the exchange rate of the Embassy at the time of payment. The Embassy will not compensate for the losses associated with the exchange rate of currencies. Grant, usually provided in two parts: at the initiation stage of the project after signing the Agreement, the second and last part – after the Embassy proper final statements. The Embassy reserves the right to verify or assess any of the projects funded at any time.
