Chernihiv: the mayor presented gifts to the children of the victims or participants of the ATO from Latvian friends
Chernihiv city growablecols Atroshenko met with child victims or participants of the ATO. The mayor presented them with gifts from the partner cities of Chernihiv, Riga (Republic of Latvia) to new year and Christmas holidays. Vladislav Atroshenko, congratulating children on the city Council, reported that between Chernigov and Ogre town signed a Treaty of friendship and cooperation in 2007. - Ogre is a very beautiful, green and, simultaneously, a small town with a population of approximately 30 thousand people. Although the city budget is small, our Latvian friends always find an opportunity to do good things for our city and Chernihiv children. In particular, they organized a recreational trip to the children ecological camp "Nature heals." Ogre, - the mayor told. Taking this opportunity, Vladislav Atroshenko expressed gratitude to the mayor of the city of Riga for the special attention to children whose parents were killed in a combat zone in the East of Ukraine or to protect our independence and peaceful life. Along with sweets, the children got a scarf with special pattern - Latvian national signs which, according to Latvian friends, give strength, health and protection. About this Latvian friends wrote in a card for each child, which also noted that the colors of the scarves similar to the colors of the State flag of Ukraine, is to serve as a symbol of friendship between our cities and a kind of talisman that will protect children from all kinds of hardships.
