Zhytomyr: they fought for us to win!
January 29, 1918, near railway station Kruty took a defensive battle Ukrainian troops against the Russian-Bolshevik army. Among Ukrainian defenders were mostly students, schoolboys and cadets, who had no previous military experience. However, despite the numerous losses, they found extraordinary heroism and love of country. The results of the battle of Kruty was allowed to delay for several days the advance of the Bolsheviks in Kiev. On February 9 negotiations in Brest was reached on the international recognition of the Ukrainian people's Republic. We invite members of the public of Zhytomyr region to honor the Heroes.
