Under the chairmanship of the Prosecutor of the Rivne oblast Oleg Sobol 25.01.2017 was held operative meeting on which discussed the results of work of prosecution bodies in 2016 and set objectives for the next period. In the meeting took part first Deputy and Deputy Prosecutor of the region, representatives of regional and local Prosecutor's offices. Opening the operational meeting, the Prosecutor of the region Oleg Sobol focused team not only on the positive developments and trends that will surely have a place in the Department, but also on the need for an immediate solution of problems that arise objectively in a difficult criminogenic situation in the state and reform the Agency. The results of the work in some areas, the Prosecutor of the Rivne region declared insufficient and demanded the employees to intensify and improve its efficiency. Focusing on the priorities the head of the regional Prosecutor's office noted that it is primarily real should be combating illegal production of amber, predatory destruction of forests, the fight against offences in the areas of land relations and budget. We focused on the necessity of exposing the criminal machinations with the assistance or participation of high-ranking officials, not small or ordinary workers. To focus is also needed on the fight against corruption. And although due to legislative changes, prosecutors are deprived of one of the most important factors of response to corruption - the right to draw up protocols on administrative offences related to corruption, however this does not allow you to turn the work in this direction, and it requires reorientation. Should regularly interact with other law enforcement bodies that remain competent subjects of counteraction of corruption, to send them materials detected directly by the Prosecutor. About achievements and problematic issues in certain areas activities informed the first Deputy, Deputy Prosecutor of the region, and heard reports of all heads of local offices and the heads of departments of these prosecutions, and heads of individual departments of the regional prosecution staff. Positive noted that thanks to joint actions of all law enforcement agencies in the region, the crime rate remains lower than the national average (139,5%) on 10 thousand population stands at 103,5%. Managed to reduce criminal acts among minors. Last year the courts granted claims of the prosecutors, totaling nearly 266 million hryvnia. Measures taken for the protection against unlawful encroachments more than 9 thousand hectares of land worth over UAH 300 million. After analyzing the state of Affairs, the head of the regional Prosecutor's office put the request to the employees to radically change the approach to work and to improve its quality in all areas. Strategically important is the fight against corruption, abuses in the budgetary and land areas, the forest industry and mining. The Prosecutor urged prosecutors to continue the policy of transparency, cooperation with civil society, essentially to respond to complaints of violations of the Law. "Everyone should understand the complexity of the tasks assigned to us by society and everyone's responsibility for the results of their work. If we want to regain the trust of the people, first and foremost, we must work for them", - said Oleg Sobol. As a result, the meeting adopted the decision on determining the number of measures that need to be implemented to strengthen the rule of law in the region.
