Igor Kulchytsky: the Status of the participant of military actions of OUN-UPA received about 2 500 veterans

Ternopil region belongs to the most active politically and organizationally structured regions in Ukraine. This was reported by head of the Department of internal policy, religions and nationalities of the Ternopol regional state administration Igor Kulchitsky. According to him, an active cooperation with civil society organizations is a priority for the government. Special attention is paid to interaction with the veteran organizations of the region, among which is the regional branch of all — Ukrainian Association of veterans, the regional organization of veterans of Ukraine, the regional Society of political prisoners and repressed, the Brotherhood of soldiers of OUN-UPA, the regional branch of the Ukrainian Union of soldiers of Afghanistan, the regional organization of the Ukrainian Union of veterans of the ATO, the regional organization "Union of fighters and volunteers of anti-terrorist operation "Power of Ukraine". In particular, fruitful cooperation with the Brotherhood of soldiers of OUN – UPA and the Society of political prisoners and repressed in the work of the Commission on defining the status of combatants (veterans) OUN, UPA. "The Commission is composed of leaders and activists of these organizations. During its work, the status of combatants (the veteran), the OUN, the UPA received about 2 thousand 500 veterans," — said Igor Kulchitsky. Also the result of close cooperation with public organizations was the publication of a number of fundamental publications of studies related to problems of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine, the memory of the natives of the region, who took part in the fighting in Afghanistan.
