Ternopil region has initiated bilateral cooperation with the Carpathian Voivodeship
In the Subcarpathian Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland with working visit there is a delegation from Ternopil. It was headed by the Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Stepan Barna and Chairman of the Ternopil regional Council Victor Ovcharuk. The Polish side was represented marszalek Vladislav Ortyl and Vice-Marshal Mary kurowski. Ternopil region has already signed a cooperation Agreement with the Subcarpathian voivodship, therefore the purpose of this visit was to discuss concrete projects and areas of joint activity. The talks were held on strengthening cooperation between regions, support to the decentralization process, bringing the Polish experience education gminas (communities), exchange experience in the sphere of investments, introduction of technologies of use of renewable sources of energy. They also spoke about cooperation in the tourism sector, as Subcarpathia, one of the leading regions in this respect. The sides discussed implementation of joint projects in the framework of participation in the cross-border cooperation Programme "Poland-Belarus-Ukraine. The delegation of the Sumy region took part in the event Forum Europa-Ukraina Forum Ekonomiczne / Economic Forum, which presented its tourist, economic and investment potential. Also in the framework of the working visit, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the photovoltaic station in Rzeszow, the main principle of which consists in the processing of solar energy per election and visit the science and technology Park in Asians, near Rzeszow. An important element of Dating Rzeszow was the review of the rzesz?w Jasionka airport, which in size and power similar to Ternopil airport. In addition, the delegation got acquainted with the functioning of one of the gminas of the Voivodeship, Smalas, in which almost all public institutions use solar energy. In the end, both sides expressed readiness to sign the plan of measures on realization of Agreement on cooperation between the region and the province. "We expect that the delegation of Subcarpathian Voivodeship will visit our area in may of this year, where in the framework of the International investment forum "invest Ternopil -2017" and the parties will sign an action plan," concluded Stepan Barna.
