Chernihiv: the British Embassy invites you to participate in the contest

the British Embassy invites you to participate in the competition to support democratic development, economic development and energy reform in Ukraine. Successful projects will be financed by the Fund "global Britain". Deadline for applications: 6 March 2017, 18.00. (Kyiv time) The program will support projects with a budget of up to ? 20,000 in the following areas: Democratic development: · deployment of the decentralization process, including the formation of an effective, transparent and open local budget, involvement of local communities and the development of competence in local government, reconstruction and development of cities; · support public administration reform; · support of Ukraine in conducting free and fair elections in accordance with international standards; · support reform of public service broadcasting and providing professional services to the public. Economic development: · improving the investment climate and business environment for foreign and domestic investors; · improving the management of public enterprises; · strengthening of parliamentary control over economic and financial issues. Reforming the energy sector: · improving Ukraine's energy security by reducing dependence on Russian hydrocarbons, coal and nuclear fuel; increasing the diversification of fuel supplies; improving energy efficiency; increasing oil and gas production domestic production; greater use of renewable energy sources; · further reform of the energy sector of Ukraine in accordance with the requirements of the third energy package of the EU and as a result: reduced corruption; more competition on the market; the updated system of monetization of subsidies that would provide more incentives to save energy and reduce the burden on public finances of Ukraine; · exchange of best practice the UK anti-corruption policy (in cooperation with the chambers of Commerce and business associations), as well as increasing opportunities for Ukrainian business, which provides a free trade Area with the EU. Successful projects must have sustainable results and clearly defined the expected changes. They can also be based on the projects of other organizations, complementing them. The maximum funding for any project is ? 20,000. Could be joint funding and self-financing. The projects must be implemented and all payments used until March 31, 2018.
