12 February in the regional Philharmonic society hosted an event on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. For participants of military actions on the territory of other States organized a concert program. A minute of silence to remember those whose lives were interrupted by the war. The soldiers were congratulated by the Chairman of regional state administration Stepan Barna. He thanked the veterans for their honor, courage and perseverance, for helping in educating and training soldiers of the Ukrainian army that protects the integrity and independence of Ukraine. "These days we remember all who perished in the hell of the Afghan war. According to official data, during the Afghan war killed more than 15 thousand soldiers in Ukraine, the war has cost more than three thousand inhabitants. Unfortunately, the enemy came to our land. And participants of war in Afghanistan has not remained aloof from developments in the state and took an active part in the ATO. 69 the Afghan soldiers who live in the region, with dignity fulfilled their duty in the ATO area. And six combatants in Afghanistan continue to protect the territorial integrity of our country in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thanks to all who honorably fulfilled their internationalist duty, and those who defend our freedom and independence!" - said Stepan Barna. For courage and heroism, Patriotic education of youth, active public activity and on the occasion of the Day of honoring combatants in the territory of other States, the head of the region noted by diplomas of regional state administration members of the Ternopil regional organization of the Ukrainian Union of veterans of Afghanistan (soldiers-internationalists) Nicholas Goia, Bogdan Gumnishchi, Vyacheslav Kravchuk, Igor Tarasov, Vladimir Paranya. Also on February 15 in 12 hours. in the Park of "National revival" representatives of the authorities, clergy and the public will participate in a rally-Requiem and laying flowers at the monument to soldiers – Afghans on the occasion of the day of honoring combatants in the territory of other States. 16 Feb in PC "Berezil" there will be concert of folk Amateur ensemble of soldiers-Afghans "Duty", dedicated to the anniversary of withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and the soldiers who defended and protected the integrity of Ukraine in the ATO area. Concert will start at 17:00 hours. Admission is free. We will remind, this year according to the order of the Chairman of regional state administration Stepan Barna, 30 participants of military actions on the territory of other States, who live in the region, will receive earmarked financial support.
