According to the official, the main achievements last year are: 1. In terms of gross output, the region took the first place among regions of Ukraine. Over the past seven years its production increased 1.7 times. Growth last year amounted to 17.5 percent. 2. There is a higher proportion of the region in national agricultural production. For 2016 it is 8.4 %. Last year it grew by 0.8 percentage points. 3. The region produced most of the other areas of gross output per 1 person. This figure is 2.2 times higher than average Republican. 4. Raised a record amount of grain. Gross grain harvest in weight after processing amounted to about 5.6 million tons. Reached the average yield of grain crops 64,1 kg/ha, which is the highest among the regions of Ukraine. 5. Grown most among beet producing regions of sugar beet, over 2.6 million tons and produced approximately 435 thousand tons of sugar. 6. Achieved a leading position in potato production and fruit production. 7. The successful implementation of investment projects in the livestock industry gave the opportunity to increase meat production to 447,8 thousand tons, which brought the region on the first place in the production of meat. 8. Retained leading position in milk production and number of cattle, including cows that is kept by all categories of farms. As noted by Valentine Kirilyuk: "To ensure the implementation of this priority, the Department's work was primarily focused on cooperation with business structures, public organizations and the complete abandonment of the administrative pressure on economic entities in part of formation of structure of sown areas. Secondly, there is close cooperation with the centre of scientific providing of agroindustrial production, which is formed on the basis of the Institute of forages and agriculture of Podillya. Co-developed a number of Recommendations regarding the details of field work, which was periodically sent to the district units on agriculture to educate farmers." The head of profile Department noted that in the past year, conducted and taken part in 30 thematic meetings and field Days with the participation of agricultural enterprises. The Department worked closely with the international projects, the proliferation of new financial mechanisms to attract additional funds in agricultural production.
