within development of Strategy of development of small and medium enterprises in Vinnytsia region for the period up to 2020, February 16 took place the meeting of the working group chaired by the Director of the Department of international cooperation and regional development of regional state administration Volodymyr Merezhko. The development of this document is aimed at improving the competitiveness of the region's economy and creation of favorable conditions for dynamic development of small and medium-sized businesses. "To date, we have already approved the Regional program of development of small and medium entrepreneurship in 2017, the development of which we have attracted a team of experts of the USAID project "Leadership in economic Radovan". Also in the area implemented a mechanism for partial compensation of interest rates on credits attracted for implementation of investment projects. In the case of Provisions for this compensation is a regulatory process. Therefore, a strategic priority is the development of a Strategy for SME development in Vinnytsia region until 2020", - said the head of the Department. The composition of the working group, in addition to representatives of regional and local bodies of state power, bodies of local self-government, public associations and unions of entrepreneurs, also included experts from the USAID Programme "Leadership in economic Radovan" that is being implemented in six regions of Ukraine, including in Vinnytsia. In particular, Igor Burakovsky, Chairman of the Board of the Institute for economic research and policy consulting", Senior economic Advisor to USAID, presented the proposed structure of the Strategy of SME development in Vinnytsia region for the period up to 2020. According to him the result of the successful implementation of the Strategy will be the creation of a favourable environment for the functioning of competitive small and medium enterprises, including the increase in the number of economic entities and increase their expense of the number of jobs. In addition, the expert announced a Contest Road maps, produced by the USAID Program "Leadership in economic Radovan" and funded by the U.S. Agency for international development (USAID). It aims to attract representatives of civil society to develop roadmaps for the development of small and medium-sized businesses (deadline for submission of grant applications 18:00 15 Mar 2017). The expert of the USAID project "Leadership in economic Radovan" Artur Kovalchuk in his presentation described the current status of small and medium enterprises in the Vinnytsia region. The participants had the opportunity to discuss the state of the labor market in Vinnytsia region, the seasonal nature of the regional economy and the sectoral approach to its planning. A current topic of discussion was the activities of the business Ombudsman of the region in terms of problem solving pgprint, infrastructure for entrepreneurship and the establishment of a Center to support entrepreneurship in the region. Following the meeting, it was agreed by all participants to provide suggestions for generalization and inclusion in the draft Strategy until 24 February.
