21 February, the Chairman of the Saee Serhiy Savchuk, heading the Ukrainian delegation, arrived in Astana (Kazakhstan) and held a meeting with representatives of the National Agency for export and investment "KAZNEX INVEST", with whom he discussed the investment potential of renewable energy in Ukraine and effective ways of attracting investments to this sphere. "Over the past two years the pace of renewable energy development in Ukraine have been revived. In particular, in 2016, introduced 120 MW of new capacities of the objects that generate "green" electricity and work on the "green" tariff. It is 4 times more than in 2015. To maintain this trend, we continue to improve the legal framework to create an investment-favourable environment in this sphere", - said during the meeting Sergey Savchuk. The Chairman of the Saee told the Kazakh side about the status of renewable energy development in Ukraine and the key laws that have enhanced the business in this area. Also, reported on the significant resource potential of "green" energy available in every region of Ukraine. "I draw Your attention to the fact that now in Ukraine there are numerous designed projects for the production of electricity and heat from alternative sources that already have a feasibility study. All these projects are promising and may be of interest to investors in Kazakhstan", - said Sec.Savchuk and assured that all investors and developers of projects can get advice on the legislation and peculiarities of implementation of projects in Ukraine in a special Center of attraction of green investments, which was established under the Saee. In turn, the Agency "KAZNEX INVEST" shared their experience in attracting foreign direct investment in this area. In General, the parties agreed on the need to cooperate and exchange relevant information for the development of renewable energy and the investment climate in this sector in both countries. At the end of the meeting Sergey Savchuk, invited the representatives of the Agency "KAZNEX INVEST" to visit the exhibition stand of Ukraine, which will be presented at the International specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017", and to take part in the business seminar which will be held in the framework of the National day of Ukraine.
