Art therapy is one of the most effective mechanisms of adaptation of IDPs in Vinnytsia region (photo)

22 February, in the press center of the Department of information activities and public relations of the regional state administration I took place a press-conference of the project "professional education and the host community: the development of tolerance through dialogue." The project coordinator was organized by international charitable Foundation "Ukrainian women's Fund", regional partner – public organization "Informational-educational center "AXIS". "Supporting internally displaced persons in the region of Vinnytsia is very important. Only with the cooperation of government, civil society and business to achieve the maximum level of adaptation of internally displaced persons in the local host communities of the region", – said the Deputy head of Department of communication of Department of information activities and communications with the public administration Elena Vasilishin. "The goal of the project includes two aspects: on the one hand, to help female immigrant to adapt to the new conditions of life, on the other – to facilitate the communities to strengthen them to get along with new members. Why women? It's a proven fact that women compared to men, are faster to adapt and tailor their families for cohabitation with a new community", – said the Director of the ICF "Ukrainian women's Fund" Olesya Bondar. Note that the project attracted women, local host communities, which allows to achieve long-term adaptation of IDPs in the region. "The development of tolerance through dialogue" includes various activities, in particular, exercises and training, consultations with doctors and lawyers, excursions and the like. But the main focus is on art therapy as one of the most effective means of achieving efficient adaptation of educational master-classes on painting, pottery, Easter eggs, photos. "The ultimate goal of the project is the so-called "soft integration" and long-term adaptation of professional education in the diocese of Vinnytsia, which will last for many years", – said the Chairman of the Board of public organization "Informational-educational center "AXIS" Svetlana Dubina. According to the Advisor on issues of professional education of the Ministry of social policy of Ukraine in Vinnytsia region Lyudmila Nevelichka, the conflicts in the process of adaptation of IDPs in local communities is still there, but they're not as sharp as before.
