February 22, Chernivtsi mayor Alex Kaspruk met with the press attach? of the political section of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, Hirano Takashi , whose visit aims to study regional differences of social trends in Metropolia space of the country, dissemination of information about Japan, the possibility of community participation in various activities during the Year of Japan in Ukraine. At the same time, Hirano Takashi subject was interested in the political situation in the city of Chernivtsi, in particular, mechanisms situational majority formation provided razblokirovanie structure of a DePuy corps of city Council, the various forms of civil society activism, the dynamics of preferential preferences of citizens as potential voters, and the like. The Japanese diplomat received comprehensive information on a wide range of Ukrainian-Romanian relations, proposed to explore the possibility of teaching Japanese language at the faculty of foreign languages at Chernivtsi national University named after Yuriy Fedkovych, confirmed the inclusion of Chernivtsi in the list of cities which this year will be planted saplings of Sakura – the famous symbol of Japan. The advice of Mr. Takashi Hirano on the possible participation of Chernivtsi in the joint with the Embassy of Japan programs was appreciated, however, the diplomat wholeheartedly supported the proposal Alexei Kaspruk for inclusion in the plan of the Year of Japan in Ukraine traditional championship of Chernivtsi in karate, which will be held next month. The parties agreed on concrete steps for the implementation of the agreements reached, and spoke in favour of further consultation and constructive cooperation. After meeting with Chernivtsi city mayor Mr. Takashi Hirano addressed the young audience with a short lecture. He told about main achievements of the cooperation between Japan and Ukraine, in particular on the provision of expert advice to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, modernization of Bortnychi aeration station, and the dynamics of demining in the East of Ukraine, available grants for the purchase of medical equipment and assistance to internally displaced persons, as well as about the projects of the fight against corruption, and subsequently answered many questions and took photos with Chernivtsi. The author of idea and initiator landing in Chernivtsi of Sakura the Deputy of city Council Andrey Bryazkalo and the Governor of Chernivtsi city municipal production trust of green economy and landslide protection works of Alexander Bryazkalo agreed with the Japanese diplomat organizational and technical issues of this project, to be implemented in April this year.
