Volynianka after serving 7 years behind bars for the death of a friend
Volyn region Prosecutor's office supported the public prosecution in criminal proceedings about the murder of a resident of the village of Berezhtsi Liuboml district of her friend. On the evening of 21 July last year during a domestic dispute, which escalated into a scuffle, 41-year-old woman, in whose hands was a knife, struck them several blows to the man's body. One of the blows proved fatal, because the damaged aorta and victim died from acute blood loss. Both participants of the conflict were in a state of alcoholic SP’intoxication. Recognizing the woman guilty of committing a criminal offense under part 2 of article 121 of the Criminal code of Ukraine, Kovel's'kyi district the court appointed her sentence to 7 years imprisonment. In addition, it will be charged at 150 thousand UAH. in favour of the victims of the crime of a brother and sister of the victim.
