to enhance relations and discuss prospects of bilateral cooperation 14 March 2017 Vinnytsia oblast was visited by the extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of India in Ukraine Mr. Manoj Kumar Bharti. In the framework of the working visit devoted to the 25 th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Ukraine, and the 70th anniversary of India's independence, Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India in Ukraine Manoj Kumar Bharti met yesterday with the Chairman of the regional state administration Valery Corum. In the meeting took part the Director of Department of international cooperation and regional economic development Volodymyr Merezhko and the head of the Agency for regional development Vinnytsia region Valery Nikityuk. Welcoming the distinguished guest in Vinnytsia oblast, the Chairman of regional state administration Valery Cow said: "for the second consecutive year, India occupies first place in the export structure of Vinnytsia region. Before this leading position was China. We are exporting to India the products of the agricultural business of sunflower oil, grain,because it is in the agro sector Vinnitsa region holds first place in Ukraine." The Chairman of regional state administration also emphasized that the development of relations in Vinnytsia region and the Republic of India has a great potential, particularly in the cultural and artistic sphere and in the sphere of exchange students. "The fact that You, Mr. Ambassador, personally involved in the organization and opening the winery festival of classical Indian dance, timed to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Ukraine, and the 70th anniversary of Indian independence, shows that life goes on and it is beautiful," - said Valery Cow. Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India in Ukraine Mr. Manoj Kumar Bharti, in turn, noted that over the 25 years since the beginning of diplomatic relations between India and Ukraine between the two countries have signed a number of deals from all spheres of interaction. Now, the conviction of the diplomat, it's time to deepen that cooperation. Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary gave examples where, in his opinion, it is possible to enhance cooperation: "Every year the people of India consume about 19 million tons of leguminous crops, at a time when grown – about 9 million tons. That is 10 million tons of beans India exports from other countries. So why Vinnytsya farmers do not take into account this fact and not to increase plantings of legumes. We would be happy to export, for example, lentils. It can be agreement on tens of billions of dollars," said Manoj Kumar Bharti. Manoj Bharti also said that in the framework of his visit to the Vinnytsia pedagogical University, where he held a lecture for students and teachers. "It was a very good meeting,- said Mr. Ambassador,- as a whole in Ukraine now studying 8 thousand students from India. Only for the last 4 months their number grew by 2 thousand. That is, the demand for study abroad in Indian society is quite high. My personal goal is to increase the number of students who will receive education in Ukraine to 25 thousand. I'm sure it is quite possible and beneficial for both countries." Finally, the participants agreed on the establishment of direct contacts between business circles of India and Vinnitsa Business Club with the aim of studying prospects of cooperation and exchanged gifts.
