Yesterday, March 16, the press center of the Department of information activities and public relations of the regional state administration I took place a press-conference of the public organization "Vinnitsa communication platform "Actually" at the presentation of the project "School media literacy for NGOs". The project is implemented with the support of the regional state administration and financed by the regional budget. The project is aimed at increasing media literacy of civil society institutions in Vinnytsia region and encourage them to conscious choice of the media content through the organization and conduct relevant training events. "School media literacy for NGOs" will be implemented "Vinnytsia communication platform "Actually" together with "Media Center "Actually" and weekly newspaper "the Power of Truth". The project planned to conduct two trainings in the city of Vinnytsia and Bar. Also, it is planned to manufacture about 15 thousand applications in the newspaper "the Power of Truth", pages which will be published information materials of the project participants. According to Olga Malinovskaya, it is possible that participants will have the opportunity to work in the "Media Centre "Fact" as journalists, bloggers, or just news sources. She also assured that in the implementation of the project will be used only by the objective facts and events of life in the region. "The project will allow you to change the information content of Vinnytsia region, which, I am convinced, must comply with all standards of journalism, and will also allow young people to 'come out ' as journalists", – said the chief editor of "Media Center "Actually" Elena Smigelski. "Media school will cover the so-called "people's journalists", which allows you to get news from the remote areas of the region", – said the chief editor of a weekly newspaper "the Power of Truth" Irina Basenko. You can say that the activities of the "School media literacy for community associations" will allow to improve the level of literacy of civil society institutions in Vinnytsia region and will also increase the demand of society for more high-quality journalistic services and content. "In the Ukrainian society remain important, the process of self-identification that should be in first place in the informational activities of mass media not only in Vinnytsia region, but also Ukraine as a whole. The implementation of the project "School media literacy for community associations" will allow to strengthen such processes and will unite the efforts of citizens to enhance the role of civil society in our country", – says Deputy Director of Department of information activities and public relations of the regional state administration Volodymyr Lazarenko. Recall that the NGO "Vinnytsia information platform "Actually" was one of 14 winners of the competition to determine the programs developed by institutions of civil society, which provides financial support in 2017 for the expense of the regional budget, which is traditionally held every year by the Department of information activities and communications with the public RSA.
