In the Volyn oblast Prosecutor's office will seek more severe punishment for the culprit of the fatal accident
Volyn region Prosecutor's office is appealing the appeal verdict Gorokhovskiy district court that 27-year-old resident of the village Batting Gorokhovsky district, sentenced for violation of the rules of road safety, which resulted in the death of the victim. In the evening 09 Dec 2015 a drunk man driving a technically faulty motorcycle brand “JAVA” and moving down the Central street in the village of Berezhanka Gorokhovsky district, in the direction of the village Chcln, left on a strip of oncoming traffic where made arrival on the woman-the pedestrian. As a result of injuries sustained during the accident, the injured died in hospital. During a pretrial investigation the would-be driver his guilt fully acknowledged and sincerely repented. The court found him guilty of a criminal offense under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal code of Ukraine and appointed punishment in the form of 4 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right of management by vehicles for a period of 2 years. Prosecutors in the court of appeal will insist on more stringent punishment of the culprit.
