In the Vinnytsia region for the illegal embezzlement of the sum over 700 thousand hryvnias initiated pre-trial investigation
Mohyliv-Podilskyi the local Prosecutor's office of Vinnytsia region together with employees of Department of protection of the economy in the Vinnytsia oblast Department of protection of economy of the National police according to the results of the study of the use of budget funds allocated for the repair of the road surface, detected illegal misappropriation of funds, abuse of official position on preliminary arrangement by group of persons for the sum over 700 thousand hryvnias. So, officials of the local government Murovanokurylivetsky district in 2016, signed a contract on the overhaul of the road surface, which is composed of acts of acceptance and paid to the contractor budget funds totaling more than 2.5 million hryvnia. However, in fact, these works are executed not in full. On the specified fact Mohyliv-Podilskyi local Prosecutor's office entered the information in ERDR on signs of the criminal offense under part 3 of article 191 of the criminal code of Ukraine. Now Prime investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the criminal proceedings and bring the perpetrators to justice. Reference: part 3 of article 191 of the criminal code of Ukraine - appropriation, embezzlement of property or taking to them by abuse of official position shall be punishable by restraint of liberty for a term from three to p'five years or imprisonment for the term from three till eight years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years.
