Within 15 – March 17, Vinnytsia oblast delegation headed by Director of Department of international cooperation and regional development regional state administration Volodymyr Merezhko on an official visit were in Asicomo County, Romania. The delegation included the Deputy Director of the Department of Finance of the regional state administration Irina Zuban, Chairman of the Teplice district administration Ludmila Marcin, heads of regional departments and offices of the regional staff of the Department. The official visit was aimed to learn from practical experience regarding the decentralization reform and development of the regional economy, reaching agreement on partnerships, investment, and discussion of the joint Ukrainian-Romanian projects that will contribute to the development of interregional and international cooperation between Iasi County Romania and Vinnytsia region. 15 March in the premises of the Iasi County Council, the delegates participated in a discussion meeting with the participation of the President of Iasi County Council Marcela Popa, Vice-President of Iasi County Council Victor Karle, Secretary of the Iasi County Council Lacrimal Verni, head of the chamber of Commerce. During the meeting the head of Department described the current performance of Vinnytsia region as of the region, which is steadily growing and noted the importance of expanding the forms and methods of work within the framework of integrated projects with foreign investment. In turn, representatives of the leadership of the Iasi County informed the participants about the tools of attracting investment projects, familiarized with the technique support of regional business by local authorities on the example of the Iasi County Council and spoke about their experience in the field of financial decentralization. On March 16 the members of the delegation of Vinnytsia region took part in the official meeting with the leadership of the Iasi County consisting of: the Prefect of the Iasi County Marian Gregorash, Vice-President of Iasi County Council Romeo Olteanu, Vice-President of Iasi County Council Victor CRL and Secretary of the Iasi County Council Lacrimal Werke. During the meeting, Romeo Olteanu noted the successful cooperation between Vinnicchina and Iasi County, which lasts for more than 10 years in the field of education, culture, sports, and establishing contacts with the institutions of the European Union. In addition, he briefly described the current economic indicators of the Iasi County and presented his investment, industrial, agricultural and medical potential. At the end of the meeting the sides expressed readiness to cooperate in various fields, contributing to the deepening of cooperation between Ukrainian and Romanian communities. The delegation also visited agro-industrial Park "Transglobal", in which the Vinnytsia region is a partner. The cost of the project is 5.6 million ˆ (of which EU grant – ˆ 2.8 million). The project was the first step towards a unified system of growing, processing and marketing from the field to the final consumer, which will contribute to the development of agriculture in neighboring States. This will provide an opportunity to farmers in Vinnytsia region to develop trade with Romania and Moldova, to join cross-border networks of economic cooperation in agriculture, its processing industries and marketing. March 17 delegates Vinnytsia region had the opportunity to see the biggest investment project of the EU, which included the reconstruction of the Palace of culture. In 2016, after 8 years of restoration work, the Palace was opened for visitors. The repair complex has spent more than 26 million euros. there are four museums: the Museum of history of Moldova, art Museum, Ethnographic Museum and Museum of mechanics. In the framework of the working program, the delegation visited the municipality Popcan Iasi County and met with its mayor Valeriu Perlegos, where he took part in the presentation of the activities of the local Council after the decentralization process and got acquainted with the peculiarities of functioning of all levels of government in the County. In addition, during the working meeting, an agreement was reached on the establishment of partnership contacts between the municipality and Teplitski district Vinnytsia region. At the end of the visit, officials of Vinnitsa region visited the agricultural company "ASTRA" located in the commune of Trvest Iasi County, where he got acquainted with the successful attraction of investment capital, for example land, area of 3000 hectares, which is engaged in the cultivation of seeds, vineyards, horticulture and farming.
