Vinnytsia oblast took the second place in Ukraine by industrial production
the Department of international cooperation and regional development of the regional state administration informs that in January-February 2017 industrial production increased by 17.8% against the same period of 2016, as compared to February 2016 the rate of production increased by 10.1% (according to Webstat). The index of industrial production among the regions of Ukraine Vinnytsia oblast took 2nd place (in Ukraine the industrial production index is 100.4%). At the industrial enterprises of the region is now working 52247 people, the average monthly wage is UAH 5917. The most concentrated of labour resources in food industry, it involves 17463 workers. In second place – energy industry, which employs 11056. The least concentrated of the workforce in the pharmaceutical industry – 399 employees, but in this area recorded the highest average monthly salary, which is more than 16 thousand UAH. In mining and quarrying in comparison with January-February 2016 the volume of industrial production increased by 16.7%. In processing industry the growth of industrial production by 19.1% (due to increase in volumes in the engineering industry by 1.5 times, in the production of food, beverages and tobacco products – by 23.6%, in metallurgical production, production of finished metal products – by 15.9%, in the textile industry, the production of clothing – by 6.0%). In the supply of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air volumes increased by 13.5%. In January 2017 enterprises of the region sold industrial products (goods, services) in the amount of 5.8 billion UAH.
