March 24, under the chairmanship of the first Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Andriy Gyzhko held a meeting of the State extraordinary antiepizootic Commission at the Vinnytsia regional state administration. On the agenda of the meeting was made, two questions: 1. On measures to eliminate and prevent the spread of the disease African swine fever on the territory of the region; 2. About strengthening of measures of prevention of ASF. About the situation in the field regarding identification of the disease of pigs ASF in the private farm S. Town Illinetskyi district reported the chief of Demirtzoglou in Vinnytsia region Gregory Sidoruk. He,in particular, noted : "on 22 March 2017 hosted a visit of specialists rapid response team in the sec. Town. As a result of the clinical inspection of sick animals and appropriate epidemiological investigation of suspected disease pigs African plague. March 23 was laboratory confirmed the presence of animal DNA virus of the African plague of pigs". According to officials, from 23 to 24 March in this farm a number of activities, namely, subjected to bloodless umestno and burned 25 pigs, cleaned from manure novosobornaya, know restake and treated with bleach, disinfected the premises. Overalls, footwear and low-value inventory burned. In addition, with 4 veterinary-quarantine and police checkpoints on the roads: 1 post at the entrance to the S. of the Town from the S. Kytaihorod Illinetskyi district, Vinnytsia region; 2 post away from the village Town road on the n of Monastyryshche in Cherkasy region ; 3 post at the exit of the Town on the S. S. Granov haysyn district, Vinnytsia region; 4 post at the exit of the Town on the S. S. Rokovata Illinetskyi district of Vinnytsia region. 18 mobile teams of specialists, together with the deputies of local councils made a tour of all private households in sec.Town. The sick animal was found. With residents conducted outreach on actions to prevent the spread of ASF. Summing up the meeting, Andrey Guico noted that the outbreak was quickly discovered and neutralized "thanks to the coordinated actions of the respective units, Demirtzoglou, the national police and SES". The draft decision "On strengthening measures for prevention of African swine fever" was distributed to Committee members for finalization and approval. This is the first case of African swine fever (ASF). So, Achs has a tendency to spread not only in Eastern Europe and Russia and also in Ukraine. Since 2012, our state was 205 cases of African swine fever (176 – domestic pigs, the 28 – wild pigs, 1 infected object) including: 2012 – 1 (1 - home) 2014 – 16 cases (4 - Pets, 12 - wild) 2015 – 40 (34 – Pets, 5 – wild 1 – the infected object) 2016 – 91 cases (84 domestic and 7 wild). 2017 – 57 cases (53 domestic, 4 – wild). The quarantine continues to operate in 39 disadvantaged areas of the ASF in 19 regions of Ukraine (Vinnytsia (1) Dnepropetrovsk (1), Donetsk (4), Transcarpathian (1) Zaporozhye (2) Ivano-Frankivsk (1) Kiev (2) in Kirovohrad (2), Lugansk (3), Nicholas (3), Odessa (1) Poltava (6), Rivne (2), Ternopilska (1), Kherson (3), Khmelnytskyi (2), Kharkiv (2), Cherkasy (1) and Chernigov (1).
