In the Vinnytsia region, more than 54 million UAH. will be used for priority environmental measures,implementation of which is expected in 2017 (+photos)

Under the chairmanship of the first Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Andriy Gyzhko held a meeting of the tender Committee of the regional Fund for environmental protection (hereinafter – the Commission). The Commission received 122 environmental requests totaling nearly 236 million UAH. which are presented for funding at the expense of means of the regional Fund of environmental protection. Environmental activities include the following areas : - improvement of ecological situation and increasing the level of environmental security (management of solid waste, construction or reconstruction of drainage facilities, measures to strengthen the banks of water objects); - termination losses of biological and landscape diversity (recovery of indigenous natural systems, the preservation of endangered animals and plants; - raising public awareness (seminars and competitions, production of advertising and scientific publications); - other environmental activities (restoration of water resources, other measures). Environmental protection measures meet the requirements of the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from 17.09.1996 No. 1147 "On approval of the list of activities related to environmental activities", and have the appropriate environmental conclusion of the Department of environment and natural resources regional state administration. Members of the Commission proposed a phased consideration of the proposals depending on the income of the Fund, priority, and size of co-financing from local budgets. Following consideration of the environmental queries generated a list of priority environmental actions, implementation of which is expected in 2017 at the expense of the Fund for the total amount of 54.0 mln. with the co-financing from local budgets.
