MPs expect the public of Zhytomyr proposals to the law on the extraction of amber
during the week people's deputies of Ukraine will be looking to the public Olevsky district proposals to the law on the extraction of amber. This decision was made on 29 March in Olevsk during the expanded meeting under the leadership of the Chairman of regional state administration Igor Gundicha, with the participation of people's deputies of Ukraine Volodymyr Oreshenkov, Borislav Rosenblatt, law enforcement officers and the public. The purpose of the meeting was to jointly develop next steps and action and to leave the meeting with a full understanding: public understanding of what will happen next in the sphere of extraction of amber in the territory of Olevsk district, the authorities – with the understanding of what the public wants. — The Chairman of regional state administration Igor Gundich urged the public to join a legislative process that takes into account the interests of the public: "You were given a draft of the law. During the week, provide their proposals to MPs. It will be your contribution." Mr Oreshenkov and Boryslav Rozenblat told the participants about the state of Affairs in relation to amber in the legislative field, noted their position and gave an outline of the draft law on the mining of amber. "From the first day we set the goal in the legislative field, to find an optimal balance, a mechanism which on the one hand to ensure public interests, and on the other hand, the interests of the state. The Verkhovna Rada should be considered a new draft law. But if you think there may be adopted such a law, which will allow without regard to the interests of the state to private persons to enter the forest and carry out all operations for the production of amber – believe me, it will not. The government will never agree to allow total anarchy. All minerals that are on the territory of Olevsk district, does not belong only to the inhabitants of the area. This property of the state, and it is defined by the Constitution. Production must take place in legal plane," – said Vladimir Oreshenkov.
