the Prosecutor's office in Transcarpathian region completed the pre-trial investigation and sent to court the indictment in relation to “takovogo" employee of the Embassy of Ukraine in Slovakia, who tried to carry across the border a large shipment of tobacco products. The latter is accused of the unauthorized assignment of powers, combined with the Commission of any socially dangerous acts and use of falsified document (paragraph 1 of article 353, part 4 of article 358 of the criminal code of Ukraine). We will remind, in may 2016 at the checkpoint MP "Luzhanka" on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border under the guise of diplomatic cargo, the smugglers tried to export from Ukraine a large consignment of tobacco products. The customs officers suspected the presence of contraband (signal on cigarettes gave service dog) and insisted on inspecting the cargo van. However, the driver was strongly opposed, explaining his refusal to show the contents of the vehicle that is transporting the pouch. Now “fake” the diplomat will be judged under two articles of the Criminal code of Ukraine (paragraph 1 of article 353, part 4 of article 358 of the criminal code), acts punishable by a fine of up to one hundred untaxed minimum incomes, or arrest for up to six months or limitation of liberty for a term up to three years.
