Vinnicchina: Ministry of regional development has started a contest "Best practices of local self-government" in 2017 (+photos)

the Ministry of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine from April 3 announced a competition "Best practices in local government" in 2017 for local authorities at all levels: regional, district, urban, township and rural councils. The Ministry of regional development will work in partnership with the Council of Europe, the Ukrainian Association of district and regional councils, Association of Ukrainian cities Ukrainian Association of village and settlement councils. The purpose of this event is to select, highlight and disseminate best practices of local governments in socio-economic development of territories on the following topics: - the transparency and accountability of local self-government; - practices for the development of regions and communities based on their own strategies and resources; - cooperation of local communities. Also, the participants and the winners will receive public recognition of innovation, the opportunity to share with colleagues the experience of their implementation, to evaluate the effectiveness of their activities, to extend and improve its own work. To participate in the contest applications are accepted on practices implemented in the period from 2015 to 2016, during the implementation of which received positive results. Applications to participate in the Contest can be submitted until 30 September 2017. Each local government can submit one or several (separate) applications, but not more than one practice for each of the three themes of the Competition.
