In Ternopil authorities and business discussed the project of creation of the Agency urban development
expert on the issues of territorial and local economic development Andriy Ginkul presented Ternopil entrepreneurs, public sector representatives and government the idea of creating the Agency for urban development. According to him, the Agency should be based on the principles of partnership between the public, private and voluntary sectors in order to facilitate the organization of territorial development, attraction of investments and loans in the region. “This structure will perform the function of thinking and running projects, which are still not implemented. For example, this can be a joint presentation of products for export, joint participation in lending programs, and so forth”, explains Andrew Ginkul. The mayor Sergey Nadal said that members of the public, business and government must decide what should be the Agency of urban development in Ternopil. After all, it is the structure that must work together to attract domestic and foreign investment to the city, to build a strategy of development of all spheres of city life.
