The volynyanin was convicted of false report of a crime and false testimony
the Lutsk local Prosecutor's office supported the public prosecution in the criminal proceedings against 24-year-old resident of the village Oderady Lutsk district, which falsely reported the crime and gave false statements to investigators. On the evening of 09 February 2017 the man wrote a statement to the Lutsk police Department that he was robbed by his friend – blatantly took owned 500 UAH. with the bar in the cafe at the bus station in the regional center and fled in an unknown direction. The next day, the guy insisted, giving false statements to investigators as a victim of a crime. However, he was informed about criminal liability for false report of a crime and perjury. Then with'it turned out that by doing so, the man tried to return the money voluntarily given to a friend after losing him in a game of chance. The court found the volynyanin who sincerely repented of their deeds, guilty of committing criminal offenses under part 2 of article 383 and section 2 of article 384 of the criminal code, and sentenced him to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment with establishment of a 1-year probationary period.
