In Lutsk the modern art gallery “Art Department” celebrates third anniversary
April 23, 2014 in the Cultural and entertainment center "Adrenaline city" its doors to lovers of contemporary Ukrainian art opened Gallery of modern art of Ukraine "Art Department". Three years is, of course, not so much in the time dimension. However, the scale of activities was an extremely important period of searching, developments, discoveries, achievements and victories. Created solely on the basis of Patriotic beliefs, philanthropy, love of beauty, and art gallery brought together caring hearts not only in Lutsk and Volyn, but also from many corners of Ukraine. During the activities "Art Department" was visited by over 20 thousand visitors. In its spacious exhibition halls with joy will present their works of famous artists of Kiev, Lviv, Odessa, Uzhgorod, Mykolayiv, Ternopil. The current collection comprises approximately two thousand works of famous Ukrainian artists of our time. A favorite place for meetings and fellowship, the gallery has become and for many, Lucian. The main criteria of a small team – the professionalism, high artistic quality, respect for traditions, the consonance with the progress of modernity ensured the success of each of the business started. From the very beginning of the gallery "Art Department" initiated the annual all-Ukrainian Competition of caricatures "Conditional Ukrainians" that aims not only to revive the forgotten author charts, but to generate citizenship, to develop a sense of patriotism and love to Ukraine. During the work of the gallery “Art Department” had more than fifty open art events, including 10 large-scale exhibition projects, 19 cultural soiree, more than ten master classes under the guidance of renowned artists, art lectures, theatrical performances, and performances, presentations books of famous writers and creative competitions. In may 2016, the Gallery organized a creative forum “Forum WestArt EN” which United on its platform of leading art experts, culturologists, artists, modern art admirers and all who are not indifferent to national culture. In September of that year, the Gallery became a co-organizer of the festival of contemporary urban art “Polirom”, which combines the diversity of contemporary art, including mural art, street art, exhibitions, installations, graffiti, performances, body art, video art, workshops and art lectures. For a short period, the gallery gave 5 exhibition catalogues and booklets 27, true events of the Ukrainian culture of today. The gallery pays to work with young people. In 2015, the gallery "Art Department" initiated the project "a step on the road of art", whose main objective is to support creative young people, assistance in realization of their creative projects, providing opportunities to present their works in the art-cafe "Stop-Kadr". Consequently, it was implemented 11 creative exhibitions of young talented artists. For the youngest visitors of the gallery created a summer children's art camp with daily master classes. Every weekend works "Creative Academy of the day." Each of these activities is an important contribution to the development of the art of the region.
