Ternopil region have joined the campaign "Make Ukraine clean together!"
Ternopil region joined the large-scale socio-ecological action "let's Make Ukraine clean together!". This annual event aims to improve the environmental situation of Ukraine, promoting the development of the all-Ukrainian volunteer movement and driven by the common desire for a better future in the development of the environmental sector. The idea is a public organization let's do it, Ukraine together with the international movement let's Do It! World under the patronage of the Spouse of the President of Ukraine Marina Poroshenko. So, on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 10 a.m. environmentally-conscious Ukrainians came to clean the green areas and carrying out landscaping. In the Ternopil region in the framework of the campaign "Make Ukraine clean together!" the main location was the territory of the rebel of the cemetery in the tract of Tar near the S. Antonivtsi, Shumsky district. Part in cleaning adopted the management and employees of the Ternopil regional state administration, regional Council of Shumskih of administration and district Council, the forestry workers. This area was chosen because as is well known, 2017 in the Ternopil region declared the Year of the UPA". In this place under the open sky Museum is a military district UPA "Volyn-South", which operated in 40 years during the Second World war. The historic complex includes a headquarters, the summer school class of elders, camp chapel near the source, the bunker-shelter and the rebel cemetery. The headquarters was created by the legendary commander of the guerrilla detachment of the UPA Ivan Kelimesinin, known under the alias "the Raven", which became famous for a number of successful military operations against the Nazis. As a result, the territory of the "Antoncic Republic" in the middle of Shumskih forest was free from the invaders. Here is a school of the elders, hospital, nursing, bakery, soap factories, sewing workshop, were published in the newspaper of the UPA "Rebel". At the same time, the Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Stepan Barna, Chairman of the regional Council Victor Ovcharuk, along with the leadership of the Shumsky district, visited the memorial and outlined a plan for its further development and equipment below the historical events of those years were duly represented and served as an example of Patriotic devotion and valor. "The activities to commemorate the heroism of warriors in the Ternopil region in 2017, happens and will happen throughout the year. They are different in content, but all are intended to draw attention to historical events and of the contribution that was made by the Ukrainian Insurgent army in fight for independence of Ukraine.
