Activity KP “Weasel” for a long time is in sight of the inhabitants of the city who care about the fate of animals. the “round table” gathered representatives of government, animal welfare activists, volunteers and citizens to discuss the future of the company, its prospects and major issues, as well as hear numerous comments from the public. In the discussion took part the Deputy of the mayor Konstantin Petrochuk, deputies Pavlo danilchuk, Boris smal and Alexander Kravchenko, the Director of KP “Weasel” Bogdan, Novarchuk, animal welfare activists, volunteers, members of the public. Opening the discussion, the Deputy mayor Konstantin Petrochuk noted that repeatedly to Lutsk city Council received complaints regarding the poor performance of KP “Weasel”. “Citizens complain about the unacceptable conditions of animals and numerous financial frauds from the Director. we met again to discuss the further destiny of the enterprise, to hear the arguments of both opponents and supporters of KP “Weasel”, and jointly develop proposals for further work”, - he stressed, urging all to engage in constructive dialogue. In turn, the Director of KP “Weasel” Bogdan, Novarchuk told about work of the enterprise, focusing on the fact that it continues the completion of the sterilization centre and will soon build a shelter for animals of European type. She also noted that the company is ready to cooperate with public organizations who are engaged in homeless animals and work together in this direction. Participants expressed their remarks concerning the work of KP “Weasel”, in particular the lack of adequate documentation of acts of acceptance-transfer of animals in the hands of masters and guardians, poor animal welfare, lack of consideration of neglected animals and others. After a lengthy discussion, Konstantin Petrochuk noted that there will be an official check on the fact of the absence of acts of acceptance-transfer of animals, because it is a valid reason for the investigation. Also, we will study the question of trapping the animals and return them, including in other cities. He also urged all citizens in case of revealing of any violations or extortion during the transfer of animals to appeal.
