The state environmental Inspectorate in the Ternopil region reveals violations of the rules of application of pesticides

In General, in recent cases like citizens ' appeals to the State ecological Inspectorate in the Ternopil region about the violation of the rules of application of pesticides by farmers and private citizens who handle their own garden plots. They often do not comply with the requirements of sanitary standards at the time of treatment, taking account of weather conditions, mandatory public warning about the conduct of the treatment fields, the use of drugs is harmless for people and the environment. In this case, polluted and damaged the surrounding area, which negatively affects the living conditions of people and often causes the death of bees. Given that the use of pesticides by both citizens and companies is carried out in the course of the season several times, it is essential to adhere to state sanitary regulations CPD 8.8.1.2.001-98 "Transportation, storage and application of pesticides in national economy" and the "list of pesticides and agrochemicals permitted for use in Ukraine". According to the requirements, all work with chemicals should be carried out in the early morning (till 10) and evening (18-22) hours and subject to the force of the wind. Before treatment facilities located within or close to settlements, through the local authorities and the media to inform people about upcoming work and deadlines, during which time no one shall stay in the treated area. To prevent loss of bees during the treatment fields, the owners of the crops must comply with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On beekeeping” and “the Instruction on prevention and liquidation of illnesses and poisonings of bees”, p. p. 7.12 - 7.14 which they say: “the owners of apiaries notified three days before hobbamock showing the applied pesticide, location (within a radius of 7 km), time and method of processing”. Violators of the rules of application of pesticides and agrochemicals, bear responsibility according to article 83 of the code of Ukraine on administrative offences.
