In the Rivne region stopped illegal sand mining at the quarry site inactive
In the investigation of criminal proceedings prosecutors Rivne region in cooperation with investigators SU GUNP in the field and UZES in the Rivne region JO National police of Ukraine for the second time found and stopped illegal sand mining, which was mined in industrial quantities. Place illegal mining has been inactive quarry in Kostopil district. According to the results of the activities conducted 30.05.2017 police seized the weapon of the crime: 1 excavator, 1 dredge, which was used for reclamation of sand and other equipment. The currently ongoing pre-trial investigation on the fact of violation of rules of protection or use of mineral resources, measures are taken to establish the perpetrators (signs of a criminal offense under part 1 of article 240 of the criminal code of Ukraine). In the pre-trial investigation sent a petition to the court about the arrest of a heavy equipment that was involved in illegal mining. The Prosecutor's office of area together with law enforcement agencies continues to take major steps to stop illegal mining in the region. The sanction of article prescribes punishment in the form of a fine from 300 to 600 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or restriction of freedom for up to 2 years, or imprisonment for the same term.
