Prosecutors of the Department of supervision over observance of laws by bodies of the fiscal service of the Prosecutor of the Transcarpathian region together with employees of the Main Department of State fiscal service in the Transcarpathian region, the facts of manufacturing, storage and further sale of excisable goods group in the city of Uzhgorod and Uzhgorod district. To prevent distribution of adulterated alcoholic beverages – cognac and vodka, during the carried-out searches of houses and premises discovered and seized about 400 bottles of kanyaka and more than 100 bottles of vodka with excise tax stamps with signs of forgery, the alcohol is oriented in barrels of 100 liters, bottles, containers, cans, labels, fake stamps of excise duty, as well as equipment for the manufacture of alcoholic beverages, and the like. On this fact the criminal proceedings on signs of the criminal offenses provided by part 1 of article 199, part 1 of article 204 of the criminal code of Ukraine (illegal production, storage, sale or transportation with a sales objective of illicitly manufactured tobacco products or other excise goods), which sanction prescribes punishment in the form of a fine in the amount of 17,000 UAH. up to 34,000 UAH. and imprisonment from three to seven years. Currently held urgent investigative (search) actions, after which the issue will be resolved on the implementation of the notice on the mentioned articles of the criminal code of Ukraine persons who were engaged in the manufacture and sale of the above "surrogate" of the products in the territory of the city of Uzhgorod and the entire region as a whole.
