Chernivtsi: the Project proposal of the monument to participants of the ATO will take up to 11 August

Continues the architectural competition for the best project proposal of a monument to participants of the antiterrorist operation in the complex with the formation of a square at the intersection of the Celestial Hundreds – Komarov – S. Vorobkevych. At the briefing, which was held in the town Hall, the chief architect of Chernivtsi Natalia Khilko noted that Chernivtsi submitted projects in the last year, but one of them was said about the arrangement of space: “All participants have involved only the establishment of an iconic sculpture. Therefore, those projects do not have the basis. After all, sculptor or architect is not enough. We agreed to put the idea of redevelopment of streets. The victims ' families asked to establish a memorial in the Central square. But to equip the space there. So I agreed and chose another place”. Applications for the project of a memorable sign and space to participants of the ATO will take up to 11 August 2017 in the Department of urban complex and land relations at the address: g. Chernivtsi, vul. .Khmelnytsky, 64-A (room 306). The main task of the Contest: to find a form of artistic and spatial display of the events in the East of Ukraine, the heroism of the soldiers – members of the antiterrorist operation, honoring the memory of fallen soldiers. Participants should also review your existing environment and offer town planning and urban solution of the formation of a new city square The bonus Fund of the Competition is 50,000 (fifty thousand) USD and is divided into three incentive prizes: The first prize is 25,000 USD. Second honorable mention – 16000 UAH. Third honorable mention – 9000 UAH. The winner of the contest will be determined by the jury, which included architects, sculptors, designers, urbanists and representatives of public organizations, participants of the ATO.
