13 June on the basis of Ternopil cooperative trade and economic College held a cultural event to promote Japanese culture among the public of the region, in particular among students. The event was held a presentation of interesting facts about Japan, tea ceremony demonstration, a master class on origami and how to cook Japanese cuisine. As you know, Japan is one of the key partners of our state in the Asia-Pacific region. But in recent years there has been growing interest to the Ukrainian community to the distinctive culture, historical heritage and present of the Japanese state, as evidenced by the substantial number of activities of cultural and humanitarian nature, occurring both in Ukraine and in Japan. "We are committed to the further development of bilateral cooperation between our countries. That is why I hope that the days of Japan in the region will provide an opportunity to acquaint area residents with the traditions and peculiarities of Japanese culture," – said the head of Department of international cooperation and fundraising Ternopil regional state administration Vitaly Skinsky. We will remind, 2017, at the initiative of the President of Ukraine declared the year of Japan in Ukraine. This year marks the 25th anniversary since the recognition by Japan of the independence of Ukraine and establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. And 45 years ago, according to the President of Ukraine, "the spiritual capital of our States – Kyiv and Kyoto – have begun the history of their friendship and close exchanges." No doubt that this is another step on the way to the Commonwealth of the two countries and the rapprochement between the Ukrainian and Japanese peoples will contribute to the development of the dialogue of cultures, such a kind and interesting. This was reported in the Ternopil regional state administration
