Chernivtsi: Warning – snakes!

Every year people in Ukraine become victims of poisonous snake bites. Such cases can have serious consequences, since the toxin quickly affects the vital systems of the human body. The victim already half an hour later manifest General symptoms of poisoning: weakness, headache, vomiting, shortness of breath, dizziness, swollen tissues, inflammation of the lymph nodes. Especially dangerous are bites to children and people whose immunity is weakened by chronic diseases. Snakes are common in wetland areas, around overgrown lakes and ponds, mountains and deserts. Being night animals, during the day they hide in old stumps, haystacks, under stones or trunks of trees. That is why these subjects it is better not to touch hands and to use the stick. Extra care must be taken in an abandoned quarry, among the stone ruins, abandoned buildings. If the snake still bit in the first few minutes after being bitten you should try to suck a portion of the poison from the wound. Bloody fluid which is exhausted, must immediately spit. However, such actions cannot be done to people whose mouth has ulcers and sores. Then from scrap materials on the affected limb splint and take action for emergency transportation to hospital.
