Law enforcement bodies of Rivne region to strengthen the fight against crimes in the sphere of
status of compliance of the legislation regarding the protection, use, conservation of forest resources was discussed at the regular meeting of the interdepartmental working group under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prosecutor of the Rivne region Miroslav Patskan. In the event, which took place 13.07.2017, was attended by representatives of all power departments and organs of state control in Rivne region workers of the office of the Prosecutor of the region, heads of local prosecutors. According to participants of the working group, currently, the territorial police is about 200 criminal proceedings initiated on the facts of illegal felling of forest. Seized vehicle seized Ladarevo volume of nearly 1 thousand cubic meters, financial and economic documentation. Positive practice noted local prosecutors in the sale of the seized in criminal proceedings of forest products with the receipt of funds in the state. However, Miroslav Patskan noted that despite some achievements, the work in this area requires a significant revitalization. After all, the consequences of the destruction and theft of the green wealth in the region continue to amaze, and related illicit transactions lead to significant losses to the state budget. According to the head of the interdepartmental working group, forestry workers often only informed after the fact about the detected violations, but rarely find themselves lesonarushiteley and prevent the ruthless felling of trees. Not too promptly received information about the facts of illegal logging and other regulatory and law enforcement agencies. But this situation does not contribute to the prevention and disclosure of violations, and especially the leadership of indictments to the court. Often forest products are transported with false documents, which is one of the ways of realization of illegally harvested wood, the analysis of available information indicates the organized and planned nature of the violations together with the local population, therefore there was an urgent question to coordinate actions of participants of the interagency working group, to save our forests. To improve ways of solving existing problem issues, the suspension of illegal felling of forest and its illicit export activities of all services oriented to countering these negative phenomena. Taking into account the proposals, following the meeting of the interdepartmental working group developed joint activities aimed at the prevention and effective counteraction to violations in the sphere of forest management, the real impact on the state of law in the region.
