Chernivtsi: the Projects for participation in the Workshop city will be elected in the contest
Began the contest projects to participate in urban-cultural festival "Workshop of the city of Chernivtsi 2017". This was at the briefing in city Hall said Chernivtsi mayor Alex Kaspruk and head of project office in Chernivtsi "Integrated development of cities of Ukraine" Ivan the Backbone. To participate in the contest is open to public organizations and initiatives, Executive bodies of city Council, artists, artisans, students, volunteers, people who are interested in the development and updating of the city and strive to work together to solve community problems. The main topics of the projects: • Engaging residents in the development of the city • Involvement of people with special needs to city life • Public space and its effective use • Preservation and use of historical and cultural heritage • Landscaping, ecology, energy saving • City for children • Bicycling, transit, pedestrian infrastructure • Work with socially vulnerable groups of the population The main requirements for participants are: • Compliance topics of the current Workshop in the city. • Non-commercial activities. • A completed application form a project description that contains a practical component – improving the quality of life of the community and a detailed budget of the event. Urban-cultural festival "Workshop of the city of Chernivtsi 2017" is organized in the framework of the project "Integrated development of cities in Ukraine" . Planned date of the event – from 7 to 10 September 2017. Location – the Theatre square. Reference: Workshop of the city as urban-cultural project came to BC lions in 2012. In Chernivtsi city Workshop was first held in 2016, and received the active support of the community. The main purpose of the event in 2017 is the active involvement of residents to the development of the city and its districts, as well as the creation of a platform for active dialogue about the development of Chernivtsi in the framework of the project "Integrated development of cities in Ukraine". The project involves Poltava, Zhitomir, Vinnitsa and Chernivtsi. The German government is financing the project in the amount of 4 million euros, the Swiss Government provides almost 2 million euros. Deutsche Gesellschaft f?r Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in international cooperation for sustainable development. Priority areas of cooperation between Germany and Ukraine is: democracy, civil society, governance, decentralization, energy and sustainable economic development. In addition to the priority areas of German cooperation includes in particular support to overcome crisis situations in the East of Ukraine, as well as cooperation in the field of prevention of HIV/AIDS.
