During the seventh meeting of the Council of tourist cities and regions of Ukraine, which this time takes place in the region, presented the project with a QR code tourist facilities across the region. The project was made 100 signs for posting on popular tourist sites. In particular, as said the chief specialist of tourism Department of Ternopil regional state administration Rostislav Yatskiv, a project with QR-coding implemented in the framework of the Program of development of tourism in Ternopil region for 2016-2020. It aims to improve tourist infrastructure. "In the QR code of the encrypted short information (up to 140 characters – ed.) about a particular object, Ukrainian and English. To scan a QR code you need only a smartphone and a special program to read the information. It is important that in order to obtain information about a tourism object with a QR code, the Internet does not need," – said Rostislav Yatskiv. However, he added that in addition to the QR code on the object on the plate is another QR code tourist portal of the region, through which, with the help of Internet you can gather more information about the object in particular and the region in General. "Our project will not stop, we will continue to develop.
