In the Volyn region convicted the driver of the bus,which injured 7 passengers
Volyn region Prosecutor's office supported the state prosecution in criminal proceedings against the driver of the passenger bus, which provoked the accident. In the evening of 17 July 2013, being in an alcohol of SP'drunk, he was performing flight on a route "Kharkiv-Kyiv", while carrying eleven passengers. Moving on the highway Kyiv-Chop near the village Kolodyazhni Korostyshevsky district, Zhytomyr region, the driver, without having chosen the safe speed of movement, distracted from the control of the vehicle and hit a metal fence that led to the overturning of the bus. As a result of a traffic accident 2 passengers of the bus received serious injuries, 2 injuries of moderate severity and 3 passengers – light bodily injuries. The sentence of Lutsk gorrayonny court the driver was found guilty of violating the rules of traffic safety by a person driving a vehicle that caused serious and moderate bodily injury (criminal offense under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal code of Ukraine) and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment with deprivation of the right of management by vehicles for a period of 3 years.
