5 through April 20, in the Lviv region will continue preventive events under the conditional name "Pedestrian". Militiamen note: in the area where a lot of accidents with participation of pedestrians, cyclists, heads of motorcycles and mopeds. Therefore, to prevent such cases, police officers will pay special attention to the identification and suppression of violations committed by pedestrians and drivers "wheeled". Kindly remind: according to the Rules of the road, pedestrians should walk on sidewalks and footpaths keeping to the right. In the dark and in poor visibility conditions, pedestrians who walk on the roadway or curb, must differentiate themselves, and to have on clothes retroreflective elements so that other road users will be able to see them. Cross the road pedestrians should use pedestrian crossings, including the underground and overground, and in their absence – at intersections of lines of sidewalks or roadsides. If in sight there is no crossing or junction, and the road has no more than three lanes for both directions, then it can move at right angles to the edge of the carriageway in places where the road is clear in both parties and only after make sure that there is no danger. However, pedestrians: - suddenly to go out or to run out on the roadway, including a pedestrian crossing; - cross the road outside the crosswalk, if there is a dividing strip, or the road has four or more lanes for traffic in both directions, and in places where wires were installed; - to linger and stay on the roadway, if it does not stand’connected with the provision of road safety; - move on roads, or road for vehicles except pedestrian walkways, Parking areas and recreation. It is also forbidden to allow independent, unsupervised adults, the presence of children of preschool age on the roadway. We remind you that violation of traffic Rules by pedestrians, in particular, the transition of the carriageway in unspecified places or directly in front of vehicles that are approaching, and also from disobeying the regulation provides for administrative responsibility to a warning or a fine.
