As noted by the Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Stepan Barna, who took part in the training, these activities will be carried out systematically and cover all the personnel units of the territorial defence region. Considerable attention will be given to recruitment. "Territorial defense forces – is the team work, patriotism and fighting spirit. That is why these units are headed by an active and conscious citizens who are able to organize the activities of the unit and are able to lead the staff. The set of tasks that are put before the territorial defence units of the Ternopil region associated with policing in a particular period, the protection of objects and the fight against subversive groups. For us it is extremely important that in these conditions formed a joint fighting spirit", – said Stepan Barna. At the same time, he stressed that at the beginning of the summer will be a ten-day command-staff exercise. Also planned full-scale exercises for all units of the territorial defence region with the population of over 1000 people. "These will be exercises that will give you the opportunity to obtain a set of skills that will be useful in the protection of the territorial integrity of our country. Our state must be ready to defend their land, and her willingness, respectively, depends directly on each of us. It is the advanced experience of European countries, in particular Estonia, Latvia, Israel, Switzerland and I hope that these skills will enable in the future to generate a certain environment of people who are interested in promoting military service under the contract.
