Grand opening of the project to be carried out by communities of Vinnytsia region for 16 months, took place on 4 February at the premises of the Center for retraining and advanced training the field. The aim of the project is to inform community members ( project participants) with their ability to actively influence the course of events in their community. To assist communities in establishing new public organizations in various writing projects socially-economic development of society. To assist the chairmen of local communities in the establishment of close contact with the inhabitants of the settlement and to start local initiatives. The event was attended by Chairman of regional state administration Valery Cow, the Chairman of the regional Council Anatoliy Oleynik, the project partners – the regional Director of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine, Romania and Moldova Daniel Seiberling, the representative of the Foundation, Professor, j?rgen Walchshofer, 30 selected during the contest, village, town and city heads and 4 the leader of the public organizations of Vinnytsia region. In his opening speech Valery Cow thanked the project partners for the continued cooperation on issues that are important for the development of local self-government in Ukraine. "On a highly relevant topic of amending the Constitution of Ukraine. We often say the word decentralization of power, but there are other deep things that concern the realization of territorial communities, he said. In particular, the formation of a system of support for local initiatives is a living link with the public, which applies to residents of the relevant territories. In those communities where this tool works, we see creative, positive solutions that benefit the development of this community. We therefore look forward to the successful implementation of Your project". Successful implementation of the project "Development of local initiatives in the communities of Vinnytsia region, as a prerequisite for successful development of territories" wished to all participants and the Chairman of the regional Council Anatoliy Oliynyk, who emphasized that this is not an easy task, requiring hard work and significant effort on the part of samourais. In turn, addressing the participants of the meeting , regional Director of Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine, Romania and Moldova Daniel Seiberling said : "the Hanns Seidel Foundation supports the development of democracies in other countries,especially in Eastern Europe. Our approach has always been the dialogue and cooperation between the Executive,legislature and civil society. Experience shows that only joint efforts can solve as big problems and small at the local level. That is why it is so important to listen to initiatives from the field, and then to see whether there is money to pay for them, or where these funds can be found". It is expected to implement the project in 11 phases. 7 of them will be held with the support of Hanns Seidel Foundation.
