Public organization "Podil Agency of regional development" presented the new cultural and educational project "the Celebration of the 270 anniversary of the appearance of the monks of the Capuchins in the city of Vinnitsa", which is implemented with the support of the regional state administration. Recall that the public organization "Podil Agency of regional development" was one of 12 winners of the competition to determine the programs developed by institutions of civil society, which provides financial support in 2016 at the expense of means of the regional budget, which is traditionally held every year by the Department of information activities and communications with the public RSA. The project aims at organizing and conducting a series of activities in connection with the celebration of historical dates – 270 years since the founding of one of the oldest and unique architectural monuments of the city of Vinnytsia and Podolia as a whole – the Church and monastery of Franciscans-the Capuchin, which is located on Cathedral street. "The project will allow residents to join the history of Podillia and feel their belonging to the European integration process, which takes place in Ukraine", – said the head of the project Yuri Wojcicki. "Vinnytsia becomes a historical city. Vinnitsa Capuchin monastery, which was built in a Tuscan architectural style, is one of the architectural jewels of not only Moscow, but also in Vinnytsia region as a whole", – said the rector of the parish of the blessed virgin Mary in Vinnitsa father Konstantin Morozov. "On 21 September 1745 at about 16:00, the monks, the Capuchins arrived in the city of Vinnitsa, and remained there until today. Thus on 21 September of this year we plan a gala event for the celebration of the appearance of the Capuchin friars in the territory of the Vinnytsia region", – said Yuri Wojcicki.
