In the Vinnytsia region nodularis dermatitis or contagious nodular dermatitis – a dangerous disease of cattle
About the danger of lumpy skin disease and measures to prevent penetration of the virus dangerous diseases on the territory of Vinnytsia region, said the head of Demirtzoglou in Vinnytsia region Gregory Sidoruk during a meeting of the State extraordinary antiepizootic Commission at the Vinnytsia regional state administration. He, in particular, noted that last year the disease were recorded not only in the permanent endemic areas of Africa and the Middle East, but also actively promoted in European countries (Bulgaria, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Serbia, Montenegro, Turkey and Russia). What is this disease? Nodularis dermatitis or contagious nodular dermatitis – a contagious infectious disease characterized by fever, lymph system, edema of the subcutaneous tissue and internal organs, the formation of skin nodes. The disease included in the OIE list and subject to mandatory notification. Is characterized by substantial economic losses caused by the introduction of a special regime for skateholders, costs of diagnostic studies, organization of prevention and liquidation measures, and trade restrictions. Given the density of livestock in the region, lack of preventive vaccinations in Ukraine, the prevalence of the disease in the world and close economic ties, there is a large risk of introducing the virus nodular dermatitis in agriculture. The necessary steps that are needed to conduct for the prevention of introduction of the causative agent of this disease on the territory of the region: • conduct a full accounting and identification of a livestock of cattle; • prohibit the movement of cattle without the consent of territorial bodies of Demirtzoglou; • to deliver the number of cattle only from well for nodular dermatitis of regions; • to conduct a broad awareness campaign about the dangers of entering a specified disease in the region.
